We just moved here from Fort Lewis and we are looking to buy. Where are some good areas with good school systems to look? We are already looking in Converse. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 

I would also like some info on this! We will be moving to Lackland, and I would like to know about the schools. Which school districts are best? My daughter will be starting kindergarten while we're there, so I'd like to find out about the elementary schools in particular. Thanks! 

we just moved here as well, so I dont have as much experience and dont know my way around that much yet. I have heard that the further north you go the better. We moved to the northwest of san antonio and our kids are in school here, I think it is pretty good. The northside school district is supposed to be good. I really like the Olympia area in Universal City. Also the Castle Hills or Hollywood park. There is also a great school system in the Tara area off of 151 and potranco. Good luck yall! Welcome to SA 

It depends on how far you want to commute to get to Lackland. The Northside school district would be the better choice. Stay away from the South Side. I would suggest Leon Valley and Alamo Heights. Converse is a pretty good commute and San Antonio traffic is crazy. If you can avoid Loop 1604 do so. They call it the "death loop". Its always backed up with crazy traffic and is pretty dangerous in my opinion. If you dont mind a small commute you MIGHT look into the town of Castroville. Its just outside of San Antonio west of Lackland. Easy straight shot to the base. I am from the area! This underground is DEAD!!!!
